#EverydayPeople – Your belief will make the universe work with you
Another week, another #everydaypeople story. This week we have Restaurant Operations Manager Anahita Dastur and Head Waiter Anabela De Gois talking about the challenges they faced in their relationship while working on a cruise ship.
38 year-old Anahita is the adventurous of the two who loves food and almost always happy. 37 year-old is fond of cat, loves to travel but hates flying. At the end of the day she loves to climb into her bed. Here’s their story.
Describe a challenging incident of your relationship; something that changed you and your lives.
The most challenging incident was when we were placed on different ships, not by choice and very early in our relationship, but then we already knew that this was not a ‘ship thing’ because we were pining for each other. This was super tough and we had to bolster each other every day using every means of communication possible to just be connected.
Looking back what was the mindset that helped you both push through this or overcome this challenge?
“Don’t worry babes it’s one more day gone and one more day of you getting closer to me. Just believe in that, let’s make all the right efforts and soon we will be together,” this used to be 90% of our conversation. We stayed strong for each other; some days I was the cheerleader, some days it was Anabela.
One life tip for others; a way of thinking, a perspective or an action that helps you both pull through the ups and downs of life and relationships.
If you truly believe in something, let nothing stand in your way. Your belief will make the universe work with you and make things happen. Not always though; because if it was not for you or the time was not right it won’t happen. Main thing is to keep at it and always have a plan A, B and C. That’s in general. In our relationship main thing is saying thank you, good morning and good night with a kiss and however crazy mad we are at each other, when we finally sleep, we make sure some part of our bodies are touching, even if just the feet.
Do drop by next week for a new dose of #everydaypeople
The series #everydaypeople is about understanding that “life happens” to everyone. We all need a little dose of inspiration, a tiny sense of “there are others going through something similar” and, some #protips and #lifehacks to help us through.
